A former men’s individual sabre athlete, he won gold at the 1978 Bangkok Asian Games—the first Chinese fencer to do so—earning the title “Asia’s No. 1 Sabre.” He later became the Chinese national team’s first sabre coach and led both the Chinese and Hong Kong teams at multiple Olympic Games.

Ivan is an intuitive, motivating coach who inspires genuine passion for fencing.

Foil
Guy began fencing at 11 and went on to achieve strong state and national results, competing internationally as part of the national squad and training with the Polish Olympic Foil team. After more than a decade coaching in schools, he retired from competition and now focuses on coaching foil and guiding his students toward their goals.

Sabre
Skylar Li is a former key member of the Jiangsu team and has won multiple championships in Chinese fencing competitions. In addition, she is a National First-Class Athlete and a National First-Class Judge.

Nicole Li is a former women’s foil fencer from Shanghai with over 12 years of training experience. Starting at age 7 in the Shanghai provincial system, she built strong foundations in footwork, bladework, and tactics. She later coached beginner and intermediate youth athletes at a major Shanghai club. Her top competitive result was 3rd place in women’s foil at the Shanghai Municipal Games.
